FEMINIST FITNESS CLUB
Feminist Fitness Club is our newest program as part of the IceHouse Tonight!
open to: girls, women, and nonbinary/trans folks
Our vision is fitness classes that are FUN and line up with our values— think encouragement, support, and body neutrality. Because working out isn't only for gym rats! Here, it’s okay if you’ve never done a single push-up, or if you don't know what a burpee is, or if you need a modified exercise because you can't stand for long periods of time. We won’t talk about diets, and we won’t judge if you need to take things slow. If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t belong in a fitness class or if thinking about wellness sometimes overwhelms you, this series is for you. <3
The first installment was Gentle Yoga: Feeling Better in My Body, led by certified yoga instructor Lisa Manno.
”Lisa is a passionate educator, lover of music, and a full-time dreamer. She believes we create a brighter world through self exploration, compassion, and returning to nature. In this class, we’ll explore the importance of breathing, how to apply breath to movement, and how to turn down loud thoughts by focusing on physical sensation and breath work.”
